From our tree-lined highways and scenic corridors to the views that make our community one of Florida&#8217;s most desirable places to live and visit, protecting what makes Walton County special requires thoughtful planning and long-term investment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">One of those investments is moving overhead utility lines underground.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">On <strong>Tuesday, June 30, at 1:00 p.m.<\/strong>, the Walton County Board of County Commissioners will consider including funding in the <strong>FY2027 County Budget<\/strong> for an <strong>Opinion of Probable Cause<\/strong>\u2014an important feasibility study and implementation plan that will help determine the path forward for underground utility projects throughout Walton County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">While it may sound technical, this funding represents a critical next step toward making underground utilities a reality.<\/p>\n<h3>Why Underground Utilities Matter<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Underground utilities offer benefits that extend far beyond aesthetics.
